The Bottle Nosed dolphin is well known for its friendliness.  They seem to like humans and there are many stories were they have saved people or become the hero. We often spotted them on the east coast of Australia.

habitat and distribution

The Bottle Nosed dolphin is mostly found living in coastal areas but are also often found out at sea.  They live world wide in temperate and tropic areas.  We saw them in St Helena and on the east coast of Australia.

These dolphins are pescetarians. They have a diet of small fish, eels, squid and shrimp. They are known to slide up onto the mud flats, seize their prey and then slop back down into the water.
